Carpet Cleaning Tips From The Pros

Carpet cleaning is not a easy task and very few people know how to clean carpets like professionals. Here, we will discuss about some carpet cleaning tips which will surely help you to make your carpet like before.

Despite your optimal efforts towards cleanliness, your carpet will eventually become the victim of spills, wine, pasta, pet feces and whatever’s on the bottom of your shoes. Apparently, there always comes a time where you realize that vacuuming can no longer restore its clean appearance. There are some indicators of the need of home cleaning which are: when the carpet loses its color, the carpet is matted and feels sticky, when the carpet is filled with dust storm and it released when you run across the room, crayon marks from toddlers and many more.

So, whenever you face a stain, you start scrubbing the stain with the sponge. But do yourself a favor and take some time to attack on the spot because the right strategy could mean the difference between spotless carpet and a stain that lingers forever. Many homeowners believe that cleaning carpet is the process of moving furniture and waiting for the fibers to dry. But the carpet cleaning does not have to be difficult. Today we will walk you through indeed different methods to clean different types of stains.

Before getting to the tips or home remedies, there are some universal rules apply for carpet cleaning:

1. Clean the stain as soon as possible- the foremost step is to get to the stain before it sits around. Otherwise it will leave the mark forever.

2. Blotting should be your next step- most of the people start scrubbing the stain in order to clean. But one should always start with blotting through sponge or cloth to pull out as much as liquid possible. This process will reduce the size of stain.

3. Use less ingredient as possible- people take out the cleaning kit to remove the stain while it’s ideal to use dish soap or baking soda as a cleaning product. This will reduce both the drying time and the hazard of staining your carpet.

4. Dry it properly- after the cleaning process blot the carpet with a towel thoroughly. Beside this you can use hair dryer or fan to speed the process.

Now these simple tips will make carpet cleaning so much easier:

1. Try shaving cream- No! We are not kidding. I know that no one would have thought that shaving cream can remove almost every type of stain. It turns out that apply the shaving cream directly on the stain and let it sit around for 30 minutes. Afterwards blot it away with a dry cloth and finish it up by spraying vinegar and water solution; then wipe the solution with a cloth.

2. Pull out chewing gum in a minute- well this is the story of all the houses, unintentionally we step in chewing gum out on the street and tracked that gross on to your carpet. Well this is very simple to pull out that chewing gum, head towards the freezer and grab some ice cubes. Then rub those cubes to gum at least for 30 to 40 seconds. Once the gum is frozen, lift it up with finger tips and cut the carpet strands close to the chewing gum.

3. Salt: in case of ketchup spillage- one day you are eating sandwich and suddenly some ketchup has spilled on the carpet. So in this case you are required to act quickly because once the sauce dries up, it's almost impossible to get rid of that stain. Firstly, sprinkle some salt on that area and let it absorb the sauce for some minutes before vacuuming.

4. Grease Vs Dishwasher Detergent- the best way to clean the grease is to use two drops of dish washing detergent in a cup of water. It will cut the grease thoroughly just the way it does on your dishes. You can pour the solution in to a spray bottle and spray it on the spot. In case of larger stains you need to do this multiple times then blot it up.

Ah, it’s spring at last! But for some people, they’re not saying “ah”: They’re saying “achoo!” as allergy season kicks into high gear. At this time of year, there’s plenty of pollen in the air, but that’s not the only cause of people’s sneezes. In fact, one of the biggest sources of allergen exposure is probably right under your feet: your carpet. Rugs act like sponges, providing a comfy home for dust and dust mites, dander, pollen, and even mold. You don’t necessarily have to rip up all of your wall-to-wall carpeting to find relief, though. Instead, follow my advice to keep the rug from ruining your health. Vacuum, Vacuum, Vacuum You might vacuum the carpets once a week, but if you have severe allergies, that might not be enough. First off, make sure you’re using a vacuum with a HEPA filter that will trap allergens. Then, try increasing the frequency of your vacuuming; you might even need to make this a daily chore. But hey, it’s better to spend a few minutes every day pushing the vacuum around than to spend the whole day sniffling, right? Four-Legged Dander Factories Fluffy and Fido might be cute, but they also make plenty of allergy-causing dander. Clean up their act by brushing them daily to keep those allergens from reaching your carpet and staying there. Don’t forget to give your pets frequent baths, too, to keep them nice and clean. (You may want to invest in taking them to a groomer if they’re particularly bath-avoidant.) A Perfect Climate for Mold. Dry air in your home might dry out your sinuses, but if your home is too humid, it will be a welcoming place for mold to settle down and stay a while. If you’re allergic to mold, consider investing in a dehumidifier. Keep it running in your home, especially during the warm, damp spring and summer months. It’ll help keep mold from being able to put down roots in your carpet. Don’t Just Vacuum: Clean the Carpet You wouldn’t just brush your hair and call it clean, would you? (OK, maybe you would if your morning was just that hectic, but you wouldn’t if you had a choice.) Vacuuming won’t get your carpet entirely clean, either, though it certainly helps. It’s important to give all of the rugs in your house a thorough steam-cleaning a minimum of once a year to really scrub those fibers clean. Other Culprits While you’re at it, if your cleaner has a wand attachment, use it to go over your upholstered furniture and throw pillows. Those can trap allergens, too, though not as much or as easily as your carpets do. Also, when you steam-clean the rugs, take down the curtains and throw them in the washer. Remember that while carpet fibers are the worst culprits, any fabric can hold onto things like dust mites and dander. That goes for your bedding, too, of course: It should go without saying that you should strip the bed and wash the sheets and pillowcases at least once a week. There’s nothing quite like the great feeling of having been productive, of having gotten something done. I love when I can walk out of the office feeling like I’ve accomplished something with my day … but I don’t always love the process of getting there. Some days, it can be a real struggle to get yourself moving, cut through the clutter of things to do and messages to respond to, and get things done. But with a little organization and a few tweaks to your routine, you can raise the odds of being able to leave at 5 o’clock with a sense of accomplishment. Plan and Prioritize Whenever you are given a new task to do or project to work on, add it to your to-do list. I find that it’s best to use good project management software that will let me break down everything I need to do and schedule when it needs to get done. That way, I can just work my way down the list and know that I’m always on track. As soon as I get more work to do, it goes right into my task list, so I know I won’t forget anything or miss a deadline. Email and Move On Don’t spend all day hovering over your inbox, but don’t let the deluge of messages pile up too high, either. Instead, schedule a few set times every day to devote to the task of reading and answering your email. Then, give the task your full attention until it’s done. In fact, when you rattle off all of your responses at once, you’ll often find that the work goes more quickly. Get a Handle on Meetings Meeting with coworkers can be a great way to keep the lines of communication open and quickly solve issues, but not if you’re spending hours a day sitting in a conference room talking about the work instead of actually doing it. For starters, make sure that every meeting has a purpose: Set an agenda so you know exactly what you’ll need to cover and use it to keep the discussion on track. To add a little time pressure that might help move things along, schedule meetings that are no more than a half-hour long. Even better, pen in your meeting for right before lunch or toward the end of the work day; nobody wants to dilly-dally when it might cut into their free time. Reward Yourself It’s sort of Pavlovian, but giving yourself small rewards to shoot for can help keep you motivated throughout the day. For instance, set a goal to get a certain amount of work done before you can go on lunch break. Or tell yourself that when you finish that difficult report, you’ll go grab a latte. Perhaps once you’ve cleaned out your inbox, you should get up and walk a lap around the office to stretch your legs and take a breather. Of course, rewarding yourself for every single thing you get done will defeat the point pretty quickly, but don’t forget to give yourself a pat on the back every once in a while as you cross things off of the to-do list. Janitorial services cater to the location in which the cleaning is taking place. However, the employees of the janitorial service company are trained and prepared with the understanding that all structures require as much attention to cleanliness and sanitation throughout as all others, which the cleaning company will maintain, regardless of the client. Whether you are a startup business or you’ve been in the same office space for 15 years, janitorial services are critical to the ease of your work day. As it should be, your time is dedicated to the product(s) or service(s) that you offer to your city, region, nation, or several locations around the world. Accordingly, the size of space is determined by whether you offer a service or product and how much equipment and manpower is required to get your business out to your customers. An extremely important part of your product creation, packaging, and shipping is the function of your facilities. The more space, equipment, and manpower that is required to run your business the more help you will need to keep your place of business clean and sanitary for use and presentation. You can’t make or transport anything legally or logically with dirty machinery or cluttered spaces. Employees/co-workers cannot be asked to comfortably create or offer services in such a work environment. Your office(s) or living structure may be a spa, an insurance company, a restaurant, or a school. Regardless of the size, the time frame, or the mess, janitorial services can be as general as dusting and sanitizing or as technical as the intricate cleaning of specialized equipment for your company’s product(s) or service(s). These janitorial services can be used to keep your space pristine with daily floor to ceiling detailing. Or, these services may also be used for setting up a new working space after construction or renovation. As far as machinery cleaning, however, only you (your company) will know whether specialty training is required or simply specific instructions or protocol for completion of those tasks. The employees of your local, reputable janitorial service company can provide cleanliness to your conveyer belts, cranks, and turbines as needed or on a daily basis in order for the machinery to work properly. Stain removal, wall dusting, upholstery, basement cleaning on a one time, sporadic, bi-weekly, or daily basis are there when you need them. Janitorial services cater to the location in which the cleaning is taking place. These locations always require attention to the details of the clients needs; that is, who will be using the space. For a day care facility daily sanitation as well as the location and disposal of perishable, injury causing, or illness thriving items is paramount throughout the room(s) and grounds. In contrast, an insurance company or financial institution will require proper trash disposal for sensitive documents covered with account information. But on the middle road would be a school or church. However, each structure requires as much attention to cleanliness and sanitation throughout as all others, which the cleaning company will maintain, regardless of the client.
